Dr. Dianna Inman provided this comprehensive, integrated, public health approach to the delivery of early intervention and treatment services. SBIRT is a screening tool used during discussions with individuals living with substance use disorders, tobacco use, and individuals at higher levels of risk.

RAPID June 2019

Compassion is the ability to have concern for the suffering of others. It guides us to better understand our fellows, but more than that, it drives us to seek ways to alleviate their suffering. The history of behavioral health is a history of compassionate innovation. We are always seeking better ways to improve the lives of those we serve: to put our compassion into action. Like all creative pursuits, it requires the ability to look for novel solutions, to take the perspective of others, and to believe that something new and better is possible.

2019 APNA Kentucky Chapter Conference

Several members of the BH WELL research team attended and presented research at the 2019 APNA Kentucky Chapter conference in Louisville, KY. BH WELL had a table at the event to distribute resources such as infographics and giveaway items. The event had nearly double the number of attendees as the previous year, showing rise in the interest of the psychiatric nursing field!  For more information about this event, visit the APNA Kentucky Chapter Facebook Page.
