The Behavioral Health Wellness Environments for Living and Learning (BH WELL) research team hosted the Lewis Honors Self-Care and Gardening event in the University of Kentucky Lewis Honors College Lobby on February 1, 2023 from 3:00PM-4:30PM. Students participated in planting and coloring activity stations, had their photo made with Bailey H. Bee (BH WELL’s mascot), and spoke with BH WELL team members about the benefits of self-care, mental and behavioral health research, and psychiatric nursing.

Attendees were also invited to follow BH WELL on social media (@ukbhwell on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram), where the latest mental and behavioral health resources can be found! As a thank you, BH WELL provided free resources and some self-care items (such as journals, lip balm, first aid kits, and more). This event was promoted on BH WELL social media and spotlighted on the BH WELL website

BH WELL event team members enjoyed welcoming students and talking about ways to BH WELL!

BH WELL exists to promote behavioral health and wellness among individuals facing behavioral health challenges and look forward to sharing that with YOU!  Whether it’s at work, studying for an exam, or spending time with family and friends, we all deserve to BH WELL!

The mission of the Lewis Honors College is to better the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the world by helping students to explore their purpose, develop intellectually, and lead with integrity.
