2024 KYSTARS Consumer Conference

"Growing Together, Growing Better"

Planting the Seeds of Recovery

The 2024 KYSTARS Consumer Conference will be held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Clarion Hotel in Lexington, Kentucky. The theme of this year’s conference is Growing Together, Growing Better: Planting the Seeds of Recovery. The Kentucky Consumer Conference is an annual gathering of over 400 individuals living with mental illness from across the Commonwealth of Kentucky. Attendees also include peer specialists, consumer-operated service center personnel, and recovery-oriented professionals. One of the purposes of the conference is to connect individuals with mental illness to others in the state with similar experiences and show that recovery is possible and there is hope.

This year's conference is centered around the vital role of peers in the journey towards recovery. KY STARS believes that finding community, whether it's with family, friends, providers, or supportive strangers, is essential for fostering healing and growth. Attendees will be able to participate in a diverse range of workshops. All conference workshops are approved for continuing education credits for KY Peer Support Specialists. BH WELL will participate as an exhibitor at the event. The team will share evidence based research and resources with conference attendees.

KYSTARS is a NAMI Lexington program dedicated to technical support and assistance for recovery-based programming across the commonwealth.
