Behavioral Health Wellness Environments for Living and Learning (BH WELL) participated in the annual Kentucky Tobacco Control Conference. This event was held on Thursday, April 13, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at Central Bank Center in Lexington, KY. This was the first in-person Kentucky Tobacco Control Conference since 2019. Attendees were able to stop by BH WELL's table to discuss the importance of tobacco policy and tobacco treatment within mental and behavioral health organizations.

This year’s conference had an intergenerational theme and speakers will discussed how communities can be healthy and accessible for all ages. Local smoke-free communities and advocates were recognized in the Kentucky Center for Smoke-free Policy's annual awards ceremony.

This conference was hosted by the Kentucky Center for Smoke-Free Policy at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and by the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s Tobacco Prevention & Cessation Program. Sponsors include the Kentucky Health Collaborative, UK Healthcare, Aetna Better Health of Kentucky, Interact for Health, Kentucky Voices for Health, and the Kentucky Asthma Management Program.
