Congratulations to Allie Roberts, Behavioral Health Wellness practicum research student, for graduating with a Bachelor’s in Community and Leadership Development in May of 2022.
She completed her practicum placement with BH WELL from January 2022 to May 2022, her final semester at the University of Kentucky. The work at BH WELL interested Allie because she hopes to have a career as a nurse practictioner. Her time at BH WELL included learning the research process and policies related to research, connecting with Community Mental Health Centers across the state, assisting with BH WELL’s Quit and Win program, and creating a research poster.
Allie says she found this experience to be “Incredibly helpful in learning not just about research, but about how I can complete research during my future career as a nurse. Dr. Okoli was very helpful in helping me understand the direct impact research has on nursing.”
