The Behavioral Health Wellness Environments for Living and Learning (BH WELL) research team participated in the University of Kentucky's Curiosity Fair on October 27, 2022 from 4:00 - 6:00 PM EST in the Gatton Student Center Ballroom. The BH WELL table invited participants to take part in a grounding experience of potting plant clippings and learn about the benefits of gardening to mental health. Whether it’s at work, studying for an exam, or spending time with family and friends, we all deserve to BH WELL!  Participants interested in taking home a self-care item were invited to follow BH WELL on social media (@ukbhwell on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). All self-care giveaways and free resources were promoted on our social media and spotlighted on our website.

The Curiosity Fair was a tabling-style event with groups from a variety of disciplines such as science, humanities, and the arts. The purpose of the event was to show that learning is fun and to showcase diverse areas of research and scholarship at UK. The event promoted curiosity by engaging participants in interactive demos and informal conversations with presenters which were designed to highlight interest in something new.  Everyone at UK and the Lexington community was invited to attend. The event was informal, fun, and free!
