Understanding the Role of Occupational Therapy as Part of a Multidisciplinary Team in Mental and Behavioral Health Settings
BH WELL, along with our partner, Eastern State Hospital, hosted a lunch and learn workshop entitled: Understanding the Role of Occupational Therapy as part of a Multidisciplinary Team in Mental and Behavioral Health Settings. The session was presented by Dr. Claudia Rose, OTD R/L with nurse and social work consult provided by Amanda Lykins, PhD, RN and Lella Still, DSW, LCSW.
The workshop explored the role of occupational therapy as part of a multidisciplinary team in mental and behavioral health settings. Dr. Rose discussed how occupational therapy uniquely contributes to psychiatric stabilization, discharge readiness, and long-term recovery.
This topic is relevant to psychiatrists, physicians, advanced practice nurses, physician assistants, nurses, social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, rec therapists, art therapists, other mental and behavioral health specialists, and leadership working within mental and behavioral health systems.
RNs and LPNs received 1.0 Contact Hours for course completion.
Social Workers and Other Related Professions received 1.0 Contact Hours for course completion.
