The 2024 KY Tobacco Control Conference will take place from April 23rd - 24th at Embassy Suites Lexington/Coldstream in Lexington, Kentucky. The conference is hosted by the Kentucky Center for Smoke-free Policy (KCSP) and the Kentucky Department for Public Health’s Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program.  Behavioral Health Wellness Environments for Living and Learning (BH WELL) will participate in the conference and host a table where attendees can stop by and learn more about the importance of tobacco policy and tobacco treatment within mental and behavioral health organizations. 

 

The conference will open on Tuesday April 23rd with sessions that will be specifically targeted for local health department staff and individuals new to tobacco control. The conference will continue on Wednesday April 24th with keynote speaker Ebony Jackson from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention who will join to focus conversation on health equity and tobacco control disparities. Additionally, several local changemakers will be recognized at KCSP’s annual awards ceremony.
