Dr. Sarret Seng

Sarret Seng, PhD, BA, BSN, RN, is originally from Southern California, where she received a BA in Psychology while conducting neurobehavioral research, before completing her BSN and PhD in Nursing at UK. With a background working as a psychiatric nurse at an inpatient facility, her research examines substance abuse treatment programs for people living with severe and persistent mental illness. While a Graduate Research Assistant, her research involved interviewing study participants, developing tobacco cessation infographics, contributing to the development and publication of original research papers, and assisting in program coordination as a research assistant working with Dr. Okoli. She also presented the team’s work at multiple conferences, including the American Psychiatric Nurses’ Association and Southern Nursing Research Society conferences.
