Dr. Kent Brouwer is an assistant professor in the undergraduate program at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing and an acute care nurse practitioner with Baptist Health Lexington. He is passionate about promoting behavioral health and wellness for both patients and healthcare providers. His work focuses on addressing nurse burnout through mindfulness-based strategies and other evidence-based approaches. Dr. Brouwer brings expertise in interprofessional education, wellness advocacy, and clinical practice to his role, with the goal of fostering healthier environments for learning and care delivery. He is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), American Nurses Association (ANA), Kentucky Nurses Association (KNA), and Sigma Theta Tau.
