Jarrah Al-Kayed
Graduate Research Assistant
Jarrah Al-Kayed is originally from Jordan and has extensive experience as a psychiatric nurse in rehabilitation centers internationally, where he treated individuals with psychotic symptoms related to substance use disorders. He completed his PhD in Nursing at the University of Kentucky in May 2026, with a research interest in substance abuse treatment programs. His work specifically explores the integration of physical activity to reduce risky alcohol use among healthcare professionals, particularly nurses. Jarrah served on the BH WELL team as a research assistant while a PhD student. He is also a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association.
